Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
  • Assist shoppers with product selection, providing detailed information and conducting product demonstrations when appropriate
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
  • Upsell relevant products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue
  • Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
  • Stock shelves, organize inventory, and ensure the sales floor is clean, safe, and inviting
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging informed purchasing decisions
  • Support store operations by assisting with cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and retail math accuracy

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales experience preferred, with supervising experience a plus for leadership opportunities
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly desirable
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
  • Experience in merchandising, stocking, and maintaining organized displays in a retail or grocery store environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional remote communication
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Prior experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is advantageous
