Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food preparation and service. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all food safety standards are met. The Kitchen Helper will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and basic cooking tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meals
  • Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations
  • Help with serving food to customers or guests in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
  • Handle food safely according to industry standards and health regulations
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen hygiene
  • Support the team during busy service times by efficiently managing multiple tasks

Requirements

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to perform meal preparation and basic cooking tasks efficiently
  • Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is a plus but not required
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
