Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our customers.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the food industry
  • A passion for serving high-quality meals and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Previous experience in food service or related roles is preferred but not mandatory
