The Opportunity:

Scope of the Position

Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key strategic partner responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis and supporting decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing financial data, assets, and cash flow to drive organizational performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex financial analyses, including variance analysis versus budget and forecasts, as well as market trend evaluation and benchmarking.
  • Develop and enhance financial models to support consolidation, reporting, and strategic analysis.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and semi-annual forecasting by gathering assumptions and performing variance analyses with actionable recommendations.
  • Lead regular reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly management reports and quarterly covenant reports.
  • Collaborate on the development and enhancement of KPI dashboards, contributing to the identification and refinement of performance metrics.
  • Maintain and update long-term financial forecast models to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and provide actionable insights.
  • Assist with investment analysis, including preparing pro forma financial statements, conducting valuations, and supporting due diligence activities.
  • Partner with the Manager of FP&A to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Support the Finance team during the annual audit process.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analyses as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA designation or progressing toward an equivalent professional finance qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related role.
  • Treasury experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling experience; familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Phocas is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across departments.
