Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical and administrative operations within a busy medical office, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care. This role involves a combination of clinical duties, front desk responsibilities, and administrative tasks, requiring excellent communication skills and proficiency with electronic medical records. Experience with CHS emr advantage and medical office environments is highly preferred. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing patient experience and supporting healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and reschedule as needed
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages
  • Prepare exam rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring supplies are stocked
  • Collect patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the clinical environment
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems. We use CHS emr advantage​
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar front desk role is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
  • Office experience including administrative support responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and providers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
