Overview

We are seeking dedicated, passionate High School Teachers and tutors in ALL subjects, to join our educational team at our Oakville, Ontario campus. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating and inspiring students in their academic journey. This role requires educators who possess effective communication skills, the ability to engage with diverse learners, and who focus on student development and progress.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet Ontario Secondary School Curriculum standards.

- Create a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic performance and behavior.

- Utilize technology and computer software for classroom management and educational purposes.

- Provide tutoring support to students who require additional assistance.

- Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate diverse learning needs.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.

- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

- Proven experience working with high school age children in an educational setting is preferred.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students and parents.

- Experience in classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning atmosphere.

- Familiarity with office software and computerized systems for record keeping and lesson planning is beneficial.

- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is highly valued, as we offer tutorial support in all subjects as an After-school Program.
