Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our
FINANCE
team as an:

ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support the Finance Department by preparing and maintaining financial documentation and records with meticulous attention.
  • Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets, financial statements, and reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Process invoices, payments, and transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries into the financial system.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to resolve discrepancies efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable finance legislation and regulations by staying abreast of current industry standards.
  • Participate in audits and support financial analysis by preparing required documentation and reports.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives within the Finance Department, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure personal and associate understanding of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF).
  • Knowledge of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) initiatives is an asset.

Qualifications, Education and Skills We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous. A combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or financial role within a dynamic environment.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with robust analytical skills.
  • Experience with accounting software and financial systems, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
