Role Description

The Senior Manager, Partnerships is a donor-facing role responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of professional foundation partners through strong stewardship, grant management, and relationship development. The role is grounded in foundation fundraising and plays an important executional function within the Partnerships team, supporting revenue growth, partner retention, and high-quality engagement.

In addition to foundation partnerships, the Senior Manager brings experience engaging individual donors and is comfortable stewarding high-touch relationships when they arise, ensuring consistent, thoughtful engagement across all donor types.

Key Responsibilities

Foundation Partnerships

  • Manage a portfolio of existing foundation partners, serving as a primary or secondary relationship holder.
  • Lead grant renewals, proposal development, reporting, and stewardship in close collaboration with internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing partnerships through renewals, extensions, and multi-year commitments.
  • Ensure partners receive timely, accurate, and high-quality communications and reporting.

Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management

  • Steward individual donors within an assigned portfolio when applicable, ensuring a consistent and high-quality donor experience.
  • Support senior team members in cultivating relationships with individual donors through briefings, materials, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, notes, and pipeline information within internal systems.

Fundraising and Collaboration

  • Contribute to annual Partnerships team revenue goals through portfolio management and renewal success.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Director of Philanthropy and Directors of Partnerships to align outreach, messaging, and engagement strategies.
  • Support donor engagement activities including meetings, events, briefings, and site visits.

Performance Measurement

  • Achieve portfolio-level growth and retention targets aligned with team goals.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to partner engagement, renewals, and stewardship quality.
  • Apply feedback and learning to continuously improve partnership management practices.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred, PhD is a bonus).
  • Demonstrated experience managing professional foundation partnerships in a fundraising or partnerships role.
  • Strong grant writing, reporting, and donor stewardship skills.
  • Experience engaging individual donors in a stewardship or relationship management capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and relationships effectively.
  • Collaborative, thoughtful, and aligned with RTV's mission and values.
