Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to oversee the end-to-end delivery of assigned data objects within a large-scale SAP data migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities, working closely with technical, functional, and business teams to ensure data integrity and completeness across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery for assigned data objects, from requirements gathering to production load validation.
  • Coordinate effectively between technical, functional, and business teams to align data requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with business and functional teams to finalize data mapping, derivation rules, and transformation logic for each data object.
  • Review and approve extracted datasets, transformation logic, and mock load results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
  • Lead mock load testing, review data errors, and drive reconciliation activities between legacy and target SAP systems.
  • Oversee production load verification, coordinating with business users for post-load validation and sign-off.
  • Manage multiple data objects concurrently, ensuring consistent delivery, proactive issue tracking, and clear reporting to the Data Migration Technical Lead.
  • Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned, data issues, and process enhancements for future cycles.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, data management, or data engineering, preferably in SAP environments (ECC or S/4HANA).
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data quality validation, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Proven ability to translate business rules into technical mapping and transformation logic.
  • Hands-on experience with data profiling, cleansing, and mock load testing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills across technical and functional domains.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with tools such as SAP Data Services (BODS), LSMW, or similar ETL/migration tools is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration projects or large-scale ERP data transformations.
  • Understanding of master and transactional data objects in SAP (Finance, Supply Chain, MM, SD, etc.).
  • Experience working in an Agile or hybrid project environment.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $70.00-$80.00 per hour
