Description
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our Product Management & Marketing team as a Product Manager, with primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of product categories including Enclosures, Thermal Management, Wiring Accessories, Weatherproof Switchgear, and Fusegear.
Reporting to the Business Manager, this position is based in our office at Wetherill Park.
About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing key supplier relationships, driving product strategy within the wholesale channel, and overseeing product lifecycle activities. You will also collaborate with internal teams to support marketing, sales, and technical training efforts, ensuring the success and growth of your product portfolio.
- Maintaining in-depth technical, application, and market knowledge of Enclosures, Thermal Management, Wiring Accessories, Weatherproof Switchgear, and Fusegear, with a strong understanding of the Australian market landscape, key competitors, relevant standards, and legislative requirements.
- Overseeing product portfolio, including inventory, pricing, and lifecycle management.
- Defining and executing product strategy for the wholesale channel, including pricing, partner selection, rebates, market access, and managing channel conflict.
- Developing and implementing business and marketing plans while identifying and introducing new products aligned with market trends and growth opportunities.
- Managing supplier relationships and collaborating on product development, quality, and issue resolution.
- Serving as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and the sales team and supports the Applications Team in front-line technical and application support.
- Delivering technical training to internal teams and external customers
Skills And Experiences
About you:
- Electrical Engineer or Trade-Qualified Electrician or equivalent industry experience
- Product Management experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of wholesale channel operations with experience in sales, presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
- Skilled in developing proof-of-concepts and solution demonstrations
- Proficient with design tools, industry software, and technical documentation platforms
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Strong problem solving skills with a customer-centric focus
- Experienced in using CRM systems to manage customer interactions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and planning capabilities
- Willingness to travel as required
