About the Role

This position is responsible for the filling, labelling, and packaging of specialty chemical and pharmaceutical products. The role requires careful attention to detail, the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and a commitment to maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

 Agrisan provides a supportive team environment with regular team events and the opportunity to develop skills in a specialized manufacturing setting.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Read, understand, and strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Fill, label, and package specialty chemical and pharmaceutical products according to specifications
  • Box and package products, apply labels, and load/stack products to skids
  • Operate process equipment including scales, pumps, labelers, and fillers
  • Set up and take down equipment required for process operations
  • Stage materials for process operations (e.g., packaging components for filling)
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Clean and maintain equipment and immediate work area throughout the shift
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and area according to protocols
  • Complete all documentation completely and accurately
  • Consult with Quality Team and adhere to requirements such as in-process adjustments and sampling
  • Wear proper PPE when performing duties
  • Wash and rinse containers to support Agrisan's recycled container program
  • Perform manual tasks with care and attention to avoid injury to self or others
  • Interact with other departments in a professional manner

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Capable of reaching, lifting (50 lb.) and working from a platform.
  • Capable of lifting and meeting the physical demands of this position, including extended periods of standing, reaching and lifting.
  • Works cooperatively in teams communicates clearly and has effective listening skills.
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Tow motor experience is an asset but not required. Great strategic and creative thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
