Guelph Twines manufactures a variety of plastic and paper cable fillers, as well as different sizes of tying twines. Our factory floor consists of 5 plastic extruders and a number of twisting machines, which are run 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are a small family run business, looking to grow our team of skilled operators and expand our production process with new insights from team members.

**Job description**

We are looking for a machine operator who is capable of learning new machines quickly and able to work in a fast paced environment. All of our machine operators rotate through different twisting machines in order to allow employees to experience a variety of different tasks and avoid repetition. The new employee would be trained on the easiest machines first, and work their way up to more complicated machinery as they achieve experience. Training would take place on the day shift, which is 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday, after which they will be working the afternoon shift, which is 4pm - 12am Monday to Friday or the night shift, depending on preference. The position requires standing at and operating the machine throughout the day, lifting materials up to 40lbs, packaging completed product, and keeping work stations safe and organized. Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
