Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the building materials department by providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects and renovations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, homeowners and contractors. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and other sub-trades.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to projects.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in construction estimating is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles as they relate to estimating processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail in reviewing plans and specifications.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and industry standards is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
