Overview

Reporting to the Director, Development, you will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

Initial Site Planning Background:

  • Preliminary property due diligence
  • Compile policy/zoning information
  • Assist in preparation of RFP's and Proposals for Consultants
  • Coordinate site visits with project team and consultants
  • Obtain competitive site information and demographics

Project Coordination:

  • Attend team meetings, compile and circulate minutes
  • Follow up on action items / coordinate consultants
  • Research and assist in the vendor approvals of potential consultants
  • Assist in preparation for tenant/public meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of the municipal approval submissions
  • Attend construction and development bi-weekly meetings
  • Prepare findings for internal and external partner presentations
  • Maintain activity log and milestone updates within the development portal
  • Assist with presentations to internal and external stakeholders

General Research and Analysis:

  • Research emerging policies in key geographical areas that may impact Starlight sites and projects.
  • Create database to track development activity proposed and approved
  • Attending municipal council and public meetings
  • Working with asset management, complete parking audits
  • Summarize development key metrics and complete variance analysis as required
  • Ambassador and representation of Starlight Investments and Starlight Developments

Requirements

  • Working toward their University degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Business/Commerce, Engineering, Finance or similar education or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and monitor a significant number of projects simultaneously
  • Sets high standards for work quality, is self-directed, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Works effectively in a team environment and able to modify interpersonal style to work effectively
