Summary of responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Directorate, Professional Practice, in support of the advanced practice nurse, the incumbent plays the role of a specialized clinical nurse (CSN) in wound care & stoma therapy.

Requirements profile

Candidates will be considered based on the following requirements:


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing;


•
Five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care and three (3) years in wound management.


• Completion of a recognized wound, ostomy, and continence training program, such as the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse Specialist (WOSCN) program );


• Current certification in wound, ostomy, and continence from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA);


• Demonstrated teaching and counseling skills, particularly with adults, and program development

skills.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Demonstrated leadership and autonomy.


• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.


• Demonstrated strong commitment to continuing education and personal development.


• Proficient in both official languages (French/English) orally and in writing at an intermediate level.
