Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Prepper or Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and demonstrate proficiency in using various hand and power tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians with body repairs, sanding, masking, and prepping vehicles for paint.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and the workspace.
- Mix and prepare primers, sealers, and other materials as needed.
- Perform basic disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts.
- Ensure proper surface preparation for painting (sanding, feather edging, taping, etc.).
- Support painters and body techs in completing jobs efficiently and on time.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an auto body shop preferred, but training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.37-$23.55 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
