Clear Margin Consulting is a boutique accounting and bookkeeping firm located in Vancouver, BC. We serve small to medium-sized businesses that are going through periods of outstanding growth. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and driven bookkeeper to help

Must located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

This position requires 2-3 in-office days per week.

This position is ideal for someone studying or studying towards their CPA qualification who is looking to progress into an accounting role.

Ideally, the right candidate will be:

  • Passionate about small business & finances and enjoy educating others and seeing the impact of financial confidence in small businesses.
  • Willing to go above and beyond to benefit our clients.
  • Hard worker with strong attention to detail
  • Great communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Can be innovative with out of the box solutions.
  • Confident in meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with accounting software including Quickbooks & Xero is preferred but not required.

Reporting to the owner and bookkeeper your main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1) Monthly Bookkeeping including:

a) Liaising with clients to obtain relevant documents

b) Correctly booking transactions to the accounting ledger

c) Accurately recording relevant accounting entries

d) Completing balance sheet reconciliations

e) Government lodgements (GST,PST,Payroll, WCB,etc)

2) Assisting the bookkeeper from time to time with payroll, government filings and tax return preparation.

3) Setting up new clients on accounting software including loading data, chart of accounts, sales tax etc.

4) Process improvement.

Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule: flexible

Work location: The ideal candidate must be available to attend in-person co-working, team meetings, and events (during work hours) at least 2-3 x per-week in Vancouver, BC. (Marine Gateway Location)
