What's the position?

The Senior Manager of Operations Regulatory Risk is responsible for assisting the Director of Regulatory Risk in overseeing and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and internal policies within the Customer Operations function of Hard Rock Digital.

The role involves providing input to the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk management strategies, as well as providing guidance and support to internal operational business units to mitigate regulatory exposure and ensuring a robust first line of defence.

As a senior manager, you will help lead and develop a team responsible for ongoing monitoring of 1LoD and risk assessment.  Strong interpersonal and time management skills will be key as you work closely with various departments and stakeholders, including compliance, to enhance internal controls, ensuring the integrity of the organization's operations, providing guidance to internal teams on regulatory matters and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

First Line of Defence Assurance (1LoD)

  • Review and periodic monitoring and testing of current 1LoD controls, providing assurance of their effectiveness.

  • Work with the Operational teams to implement or increase the effectiveness of their current 1LoD controls.

  • Perform 1LoD duties where required.

Regulatory Matrices Management

  • Work closely with compliance and operational business units to ensure accurate completion and maintenance of regulatory matrices for each jurisdiction in which HRD operates.

  • Coordinate with the operational teams to ensure supporting documentation (policies and procedures) are fit for purpose and meet the regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Complaints & Information Request Management

  • Coordinate with Compliance, Regulatory bodies and law enforcement to provide accurate and timely responses to requests for information.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (Operations) for regulatory bodies and auditors.

Risk Assessment and Analysis

  • Assist in the Identification, assessment, and prioritization regulatory risks within Operations.

  • Help conduct risk assessments and work with the business units within Operations to develop mitigation strategies.

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are clearly documented, subject to version control and periodic update.

Training and Awareness

  • Assist the Director of Regulatory Risk to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness within the Operations teams.

Reporting and Communication

  • Help prepare and present regular reports on regulatory risk and operational assurance.

Leadership, Team Management

  • Help lead and mentor a team of operational regulatory risk analysts

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment


About you:

Working Conditions:
