About this opportunity:

The Tax Analyst Intern will support the Corporate Taxation group in tax compliance, provision, forecasting, audit defense and administration matters.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal

  • Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Suite)

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivation to take initiative and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment

  • High degree of organization and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Canadian Corporate Tax would be a plus but not mandatory

  • Exposure to Corporate Tax Software would be a plus but not mandatory

Activities: 

  • Maintain and assist in gathering information for US GAAP tax provisions and forecasts of global sites

  • Assist in gathering information to support tax and/or information returns

  • Assist in maintaining task management and tax data gathering tools

  • Assist in preparing schedules and calculations to support tax information

  • Assist in responding to queries from internal/external auditors

  • File documents in accordance with established procedures

  • Assist in timely payment of tax related invoices

  • Arrange internal meetings

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

The hourly wage is determined by the years of study completed and is non-negotiable as per company policy.
