Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Location: Namaste Pavilion Restaurant — 4438 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough Employment Type: Part-time / Casual (flexible shifts available)

About Us: Namaste Pavilion Restaurant is a busy and welcoming South Asian restaurant with event venue committed to memorable event management, great food, warm and attentive service. We serve diverse customers from the Scarborough community and are looking for friendly, energetic servers who take pride in providing excellent guest experiences. Mandarin or Cantonese-speaking candidates are preferred to support our multilingual clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely, professional manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns
  • Handle cash and card payments; process bills accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area (tables, service stations)
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver smooth service

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a server in a busy restaurant preferred but not required (training provided)
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking highly preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to multitask and work as part of a team
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
  • Valid food handling/smart serve certificate or willingness to obtain
