**Overview**
Join our dynamic team as a Cook and make nutritious meals according to a preset menu in our daycare centre. If you are passionate for food and love children then this can be the right fit for you. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals ensuring all daily meals meets our high standards. When you are not cooking you will be filling in for teachers breaks in the classrooms so your love & respect for children must shine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, safety, and excellence.

**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established menues and standards
- Assist in classrooms from time to time as needed
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Assist dietary aides in meal preparation and portioning for children with specific dietary needs
- Contribute to inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels
- Participate in food handling procedures during meal prep and service to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld

**Requirements**:

- Experience in food service at a childcare centre is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures
- Previous kitchen experience that showcases your ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with food industry standards related to sanitation, hygiene, and safety regulations
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility in a busy environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during meal prep and service tasks

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
