We are currently seeking a Driver Trainer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Driver Trainer position is responsible for training all new drivers, ensuring safety, and investigating all incidents. If you enjoy a challenge, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage new Driver Orientation as directed by Operations Manager.
- Continued development & updating of Driver Training Manual, ensuring updates are communicated to drivers.
- Delivery of all driver training & responsible for completing documented driver training records.
- New driver training signoffs, 3-month reviews and annual reviews.
- Provide coaching and discipline as directed by Operations Manager.
- Host Monthly Drivers' Meetings:
- Plan, schedule & lead including creating agenda & meeting minutes and posting minutes;
- Record issues brought up by drivers and bring forward to appropriate person in charge of responding and resolving, track and follow up.
- Review Driver Abstracts Quarterly.
- Complying with overtime policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook, with a 13-hour maximum driving shift for all drivers.
- Conduct incident investigations and complete incident reports, enter & monitor to Incident Tracker, in collaboration with Operations Supervisor.
- Perform site checks as needed to resolve safety and customer issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences & follow ups as required-In collaboration with Operations Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
To be Successful:
- Class 1 BC driver's license is an asset.
- Clean abstract.
- Experience with Trux.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Professional, friendly, and co-operative attitude.
- Display a positive, 'can do' attitude towards your work.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented while having the ability to work independently and in a team environment with the desire to go above and beyond to contribute to the Team's successes.

- This is a permanent, full-time position that works Monday through Friday.
