Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on coffee and beverage service, and who thrive in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following company standards.
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained during food preparation and serving.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries professionally.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills; process payments via cash or card.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary to support overall store operations.
  • Follow food handling guidelines to ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for candidates eager to learn.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Serving experience or background in food service is a plus. This position offers an engaging work environment where team members can grow their skills in food preparation, customer service, and cash handling while contributing to an enjoyable guest experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
