Located within the city limits of Fort Saskatchewan, just a few minutes northeast of Edmonton, our facility offers one of Alberta's finest and most challenging nine hole golf courses and six sheets of ice for curling. The vision of the Fort Saskatchewan Golf and Curling Club is to be the best club in CapitalRegion by attracting and retaining long term members as well as guests from the surrounding
area by consistently providing high-quality golf, curling, dining, and social experiences. Our mission is to maintain and continuously improve the golf course, curling rink, and clubhouse facilities for present and future members and guests.
Location Fort Saskatchewan Golf & Curling Club Posted Deadline Job Summary Fort Saskatchewan Golf and Curling Club is seeking an individual to supervise our day-to-day Golf Services operations. This will include the Pro shop operations, golf ambassador program and guest outside services. Fort Saskatchewan Golf and Curling Club is looking for individuals who are looking to advance their careers within the industry. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills in league operations, tournament coordination, inventory control and staff management. Responsibilities
- Providing Excellent Customer Service
- Exceptional Organization and Communication Skills
- Participation in organizing and implementing Member, League or Corporate Events
- Oversee and assist with daily golf operations, including tee time management, pace of play monitoring, and merchandise sales.
- Support the planning, promotion, and execution of all club tournaments and events
- Help manage golf shop operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory control, and special orders.
- Enforce club policies and etiquette standards on the course and in the clubhouse.
- Teach individual and group golf lessons to players of all ages and skill levels, with an emphasis on the Junior program.
- Work closely with the General Manager and other staff to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Passion for the golf business & willingness to grow.
- PGA of Canada member in good standing.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Club fitting is an asset.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Mature, self-motivated, willingness to accept responsibility and accountability while working in a team environment.
- Be able to conduct yourself in a professional, businesslike manner.
- Knowledge of Tee on Golf (POS) would be an asset.
Compensation $3,550 to $3,900 per month + Commission. Based on experience. Benefits/Perks
- Teaching private and multiple Jr. Camps (100%).
- Commission on merchandise sales
- PGA of Canada Dues (after completion of first successful season)
