Packager - General Worker for Thermal Spray, Belting and PTFE Products
Main Duties:
- Performing general warehouse duties, material handling & order picking
- Packaging material based on picking slip instructions
- Labelling material with appropriate description
- Labeling the box with box labels
- Sorting boxes
- Order processing and fulfillment
- Ensure that the standards are met as it pertains to proper inspection, packaging of products received and shipped
- Maintaining inventory of packaging supplies
- Create a daily report in Excel of material that has been packaged
- Request help from licensed team members able to use the forklift to move products & pallets, and ensuring products that require storage are placed in the appropriate areas
- Help with production team to organize the floor and inventory, put stock away accordingly
- Organize, review, and check orders using the dedicated computer system
- Participating in cycle/physical counts & inventory operations as required
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S to keep work area neat & tidy
- Ensures that all policies, procedures and safety practices are followed
- Attend prescribed courses and training as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Packaging is required.
- Prior experience in Shipping-Receiving is an asset.
- Background of Warehouse, Supply Chain or Manufacturing Industry is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
- Proficiency with MS office, internet solutions, computerized systems - software or ERP
- Able to read labels and charts
- Regularly required to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- This position involves physical work - lift upto 40 lbs & push/pull up to 35 pounds
- Excellent attendance is required.
- Able to work over-time and weekend shifts if required
- Prior experience with Forklift is an asset
Salary & Conditions:
- Job Location: Ammega Canada Inc., 265 Export Boulevard, Mississauga
- Salary: $19- $20 hourly depending on experience & profile
- Days of work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours, 6:30 am 3:00 pm
The hiring is open to all applicants able to work 40 hours per week.
For the hiring you will need to provide valid photo ID, SIN number, banking details – Company will conduct criminal background check as part of onboarding.
