Job Summary:

The Red Basket Food Store is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fried Chicken Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fried chicken that meets our standards for taste, texture, and appearance. This position requires a strong attention to detail, food safety knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, bread, and fry chicken according to store recipes and guidelines
  • Maintain proper cooking times and temperatures for consistent quality
  • Ensure all food is fresh, properly labeled, and stored in accordance with health regulations
  • Keep the cooking area clean, sanitized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Assist with general kitchen duties and support team members as needed
  • Uphold The Red Basket's standards of quality, service, and cleanliness

Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience preferred, especially in frying or fast food
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
  • Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
