Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued to better serve our diverse clientele.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
  • Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
  • Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
  • Provide product demos and upsell additional items to enhance customer experience
  • Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is well-presented
  • Assist with inventory management and merchandising tasks as needed
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management
  • Uphold phone etiquette when addressing inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions
  • Customer service experience with a focus on sales and upselling techniques
  • Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and product demos
  • Ability to handle cash handling responsibly and accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional phone etiquette and organizational skills for multitasking effectively
  • Experience in technical sales or technology-related product demonstrations is advantageous
