Responsibilities

  • Safely operate different types of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, flatbeds, roll tites, dump and walking floor trailers to transport freight efficiently across designated routes.
  • Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper securing of freight.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to verify safety standards and mechanical condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adapting to traffic conditions or unforeseen obstacles.
  • Communicate effectively with our dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to driving large commercial vehicles.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading process when required to ensure cargo integrity and safety.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the company during deliveries.

Experience

  • Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments.
  • Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving route driving across urban or rural areas.
  • Hands-on experience operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump and walking floor trailers is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with load & unload procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to manual transmission operation and specialized freight transportation.
  • Ability to navigate using GPS systems and plan efficient routes for timely deliveries.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class being operated. Pay: $28.00 per hour
