RAPS is Seeking 2 part time Support Workers to assist an individual with Autism and Epilepsy (E34)

Location : West Edmonton

Shift 1: Tuesdays to Friday 11am -5pm

Shift 2: Mondays 11am-5pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm

Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: Prompting of the daily routine, Supporting the client out in the community, participation in activities, encouragement of independent life skills, (meal planning and preparation, financial advocacy, shopping for groceries ect). Exploration of inclusive volunteer/ employment opportunities, light housekeeping and Laundry, Supervision and companionship. *Seizure medication may have to be administered via injection.

Note: There is a Dog in the home.

Qualifications: the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, experience working with disabilities and someone with Epilepsy, and have first aid/ CPR certificates. Having a class 5 driver's license and vehicle and the support worker certificate is considered an asset.

NOTE: client has a sever Nut allergy, (Epi Pen on client at all times).

Rate of Pay: $21.00 hour to start
