Metal Distributors Limited (MDL) is a 75+ year Canadian manufacturer and distributor of non-ferrous metal products, including zinc and aluminum marine anodes under our Reliance Anodes brand, as well as construction and industrial lead products. We're one of the few Canadian-made anode producers in the market, supplying boat stores and marine distributors across North America.

We've recently moved into our new 14,000 sq. ft. facility on King Road in Abbotsford, and we're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our small, close-knit team.

This is an on-site role in a friendly, down-to-earth environment. You'll be at the center of our operations — supporting customers, coordinating with the shop, and keeping our sales and invoicing running smoothly. If you're organized, personable, and enjoy variety in your day, this could be a great fit.

Note: Our office is dog-friendly, and large dogs are present on-site daily. Applicants should be comfortable working around dogs.

What You'll Do

  • Manage incoming calls and emails from customers and distributors
  • Prepare and send quotes, sales orders, and invoices
  • Track order progress and follow up on shipments
  • Maintain relationships with long-time customers and suppliers
  • Work closely with the production team to keep jobs on schedule
  • Keep sales and order records organized in QuickBooks and Excel
  • Pitch in with general office admin — we're a small team and everyone helps where needed

What You Bring

  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, or office administration, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or trades
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — professional but friendly
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational habits
  • Comfortable with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and learning new systems
  • Reliable, personable, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable in an industrial setting and okay with the occasional visit to the shop floor

Details

  • Location: Abbotsford, BC (King Road facility)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Compensation: $21–$25/hour, depending on experience
  • Benefits: Full Sun Life group benefits (medical, dental, prescription, virtual care) after probation
