Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Intern to join us for a 12 month internship at our Toronto office.

The successful candidate will introduced to the exciting world of urban transit.   You will be exposed to and be able to contribute to process/practices improvements and to vastly improve your understanding of project/product lifecycle and process associated with it.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist quality department on various tasks related to software and hardware quality assurance, as well in updating processes in our Thales Quality Management System such as:

  • Assist Management System Admin with publication of process documents

  • Assist Quality Functional Manager in follow up with QAMs (Quality Assurance Managers) on various tasks

  • Support the metrics collection and update KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Update of QCI process documents to address process CRs (Change Requests)

  • Support QAMs with metrics included in QAM to Project Core Team reports

  • Update scripts or tools used by Quality team

  • Assist other departments on as needed basis

Required Skills and Experience:

  • The successful candidate should be working towards a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Business Administration or equivalent

  • Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills

  • Able to work full time hours (40 hours) with the start date and the agreed work term

  • Desire and ability to learn quickly and to contribute

  • Ability to work independently (find solutions and seek help when needed)

  • Hands-on experience with Excel and PowerPoint
