The McMaster Children's Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services have strong links to McMaster University's Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and the Offord Centre for Child Studies.

1. Master's degree required. Focus of studies should be in human behaviour and/or developmental psychology
2. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) ceritifcation in good standing required (http\)
3. Demonstrated skills in the areas of behavioural assessment, service coordination, and treatment planning with children and/or youth with a developmental disability.
4. Three to five years clinical experience in providing Applied Behaviour Analysis services and supports to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders
5. Experience in providing education/training to caregivers of children and youth with ASD
6. Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Computer skills and experience with data management
9. Possession of a valid driver's license and use of a vehicle
10. Bilingual fluency in French would be an asset
11. Participation in a criminal reference screening process 
12. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)

Working in the McMaster Children's Hospital Autism Program, the Behaviour Therapist will develop and provide behaviour reduction treatment services and supports to children and youth (up to age 18) who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and their families. Services may be provided in groups as well an individually. Parent workshops and training will be an integral component of the services. The Behaviour Therapist will work as a member of an integrated service delivery team within the Autism Program.
