Regional Operations Manager

Position Summary:
The Regional Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight across multiple projects and sites within a defined geographical area. This role ensures that all assigned projects are executed safely, consistently, and profitably while maintaining full compliance with company standards and client expectations. Acting as a strategic partner, this position drives operational excellence, fosters growth, and supports the company's brand.
The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for Safety, Revenue, Growth, Margin, Productivity, Cost Control, DSO, AR, and Equipment Utilization across assigned accounts.
Specific Accountabilities:
Leadership & Operations:
- Champion the Bsafe and Bbest: culture in every aspect of work, promoting safety and compliance as core values.
- Lead and mentor multiple Project and Site Managers, ensuring effective project execution, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure operational consistency and the implementation of company strategies across all regional sites.
- Oversee P&L performance, driving profitability, productivity, and client satisfaction.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Business Development, Project Controls, Asset Management, and other operational teams.
Strategic & Financial Management:
- Manage commercial agreements from bid/RFP through project closeout.
- Review performance metrics, cost reports, and forecasts to evaluate progress toward company goals.
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual operational and capital budgets.
- Support business growth through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce cost.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Estimating teams to ensure seamless project transitions and strong client relationships.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
- Foster and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at assigned and target accounts.
- Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Promote cross-selling of company services and product lines to enhance regional growth and client engagement.
Performance & Compliance:
- Monitor project execution, productivity, and compliance with Quality Control and procurement processes.
- Lead job tracking and post-project reviews, identifying lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and mentor emerging leaders within the organization.
- Ensure all operations comply with corporate policies, contractual requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of operational impacts on profitability and cost control.
- Ability to interpret financial indicators and act strategically on data-driven insights.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled at managing conflict and finding productive resolutions.
- Technically adept at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and project documentation.
- High level of organization, integrity, and follow-through in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Proven ability to manage an annual portfolio valued between $40–$50 million:.:
Asset Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience: in construction or industrial operations.
- PMP or PMI certification preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with sound knowledge of employment practices, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
