Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our grocery hauling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight to various destinations within the province of Saskatchewan and ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an opportunity to work independently, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and professionalism.

MINIMUM 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR POSITION

The hours will vary depending on the route assigned. The typical start time is 1 AM to 3 PM, home every day in the afternoon. Rotating weekends off with some week days off depending on the rotation.

Trucks are kept near Warman. Indoor parking for personal vehicles.

Duties

  • Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes
  • Load and unload cargo using a pallet jack
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and and electronic logs
  • Troubleshooting to keep vehicles in optimal condition
  • Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues

Skills

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record
  • Experience with freight transportation and heavy equipment operation
  • Proficiency in pallet jack operation
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for commercial driving
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules
  • Physical ability to load, unload, and secure freight safely
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients

This position is essential for maintaining efficient supply chain operations, requiring a dedicated professional committed to safety and excellence in freight transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
