Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Export/Import Packager and Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing goods for shipment in accordance with Elite's export and import standards, ensuring proper packaging, labelling, and documentation. You will coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure that items are packed efficiently and securely, minimizing risk during transit. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and understanding of global shipping protocols will contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely package and label items for national and international shipment
• Track, update, and process online orders
• Assist carpenters in the production process
• Perform basic carpentry duties including sanding, nailing, and fitting parts as directed, ensuring work is completed accurately and to quality standards
• Follow blueprints, technical drawings, or verbal instructions to support the production department
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Communicate clearly with team leads and supervisors
• Follow shipping protocols and help ensure customer satisfaction
• Support shipping and production teams with additional tasks as needed
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any defects or needed repairs promptly
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in logistics or shipping is an asset.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, packaging, or shipping, particularly in import/export.
• Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills (MS Office, email, excel)
• Able to understand and communicate oral and written instructions
• Previous experience delegating tasks in customer service, administration and warehouse settings is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly throughout a shift.
• Organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety rules and regulations, and modeling practices amongst the Production and Warehouse departments.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (42.5 per week)

Pay:

This position has a starting wage of $19.00/hr, after 3 months we offer 20.00 per hour after a 90-day review and exceptional benefits. At one year 21.00 per hour with our annual cost of living increases coming into effect.

• Forklift: 3 years (Preferred)
• Packaging: 3 years (Preferred)

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
