Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated locally located Stuccoer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a min two years background in stucco techniques and materials, and be able to work efficiently on various projects. As a Stuccoer, you will be responsible for masking and covering surfaces, applying plaster to walls and ceilings, and ensuring a smooth and durable finish. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, the aptness to safely work on scaffolding, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople and travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply paper & wire and stucco to walls and ceilings using various techniques and tools.
  • Prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents.
  • Mix plaster ingredients according to specifications for optimal consistency.
  • Finish surfaces with precision, ensuring a smooth appearance.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Read blueprints and project plans to understand the scope of work required.
  • Perform caulking and styrofoam moulding installation as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Stuccoer and paper & wire application and operation of paddle mixer.
  • Familiarity with carpentry skills and setting up scaffolding staging.
  • Experience in construction painting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in caulking, paper & wire application, and masking.
  • Profeincy with operating various hand tool, drills, grinders, leaf blowers.
  • A valid BC driver's license is absolutely necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$30.50 per hour
