The Pricing Specialist is responsible for primary sales force communication on pricing information, programs, and deal architecture by effectively and efficiently using our marketing programs to enhance dealer profitability and assist in achieving sales objectives as well as effectively supporting the execution of the sales process for approved equipment deals. Primary focus would be, but not limited to, Mining transactions.

Location will be determined on the selection of a successful candidate.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $57,869 to $72,336

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and initiatives
  • Partner with sales team to accurately and efficiently price/quote new, RPO (Mining), used equipment and attachments for defined branches
  • Assist with our sales efforts for the architecture, strategy, machine selection and program support during the equipment sales process
  • Review agreement submissions to assure accuracy and completion
  • Manage our equipment reserve process for the defined product group ensuring proper documents and reporting are completed including management approvals
  • Execute deal processes, including iQuote, SMA, and COTI reporting in a timely manner
  • Lead the execution of deal administration, report, and maintain deal profitability
  • Work with local suppliers to determine, quote, and order local supplied items
  • Assist with the maintenance and updates of the iQuote pricing/quote pipeline and workflow
  • Ensure effective execution of all sales administration functions including machine coordination, deal costing, invoicing, CTD, claims, spars, and score records
  • Prepare deal as structured and approved, Proforma or actual invoices for the Customers and Cat Finance entailing completed deals for funding
  • Initiate and execute Service Scheduler appointments, scope, budget and approvals
  • Assist with the organization of freight and logistics for equipment deals including the shipping release
  • Receive POs for suppliers
  • Process all warranty submissions from deals to the Warranty Group
  • Update DBS, COTI, iQuote, reservation, and inventory records
  • Forecast invoice deals and other SMA reporting requirements

Must-haves for this role:

  • Post-Secondary Education and 5+ years of experience in a sales capacity and/or the Cat pricing process
  • Safety conscious with proven knowledge of products sold by Toromont Cat including the ability to configure and price a Cat machine from the Cat price list
  • Experience with the equipment sales process as well as deal administration
  • Customer centric with superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture trusted and long-term partnerships internally, externally and at all levels
  • Analytical and organized with enhanced listening skills and current on market conditions and business drivers
  • Strategic, diplomatic and collaborative with excellent workflow planning skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Results driven in a fast-paced, demanding and deadline driven environment
  • Team player with integrity and initiative to motivate others and adapt to changing priorities
  • Solid business and financial acumen with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SMA, DBS, iQuote, and PO applications would be an asset
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications and other customer programs
