Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Filipino Health Care Aide to join our team in providing exceptional patient-centered care. This vital role involves supporting individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Observe patient conditions closely, noting changes in health status or behavior, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Support patients' nutritional needs through meal preparation and feeding assistance while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Engage in home & community care activities, including cleaning, laundry, and light household tasks to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Health Care Aide or similar caregiving role within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient observation techniques, and long-term care practices.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or dementia training are a plus.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate medical equipment safely, including Hoyer lifts and vital signs monitors.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with diverse populations while maintaining professionalism at all times.
