Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide high-quality support and care to our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being of seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care, assistance with daily activities, and compassionate companionship. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need while working in a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including monitoring vital signs and assisting with medication administration under supervision
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Assist with dementia care, hospice care, and working with patients experiencing memory loss or chronic conditions
- Support clients during activities of daily living while promoting independence where possible
- Document care provided accurately according to facility protocols and report any concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing respectful and dignified care to clients
