Summary:
Parkside is seeking a motivated, service-driven Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead day-to-day operations at one of Toronto's most vibrant student housing communities. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about creating exceptional resident experiences.
Reporting to the General Manager, the AGM plays a key role in supporting operations, leasing performance, resident engagement, and team leadership; ensuring Parkside continues to feel like home for our residents and a great place to work for our team.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily property operations
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to front-line and student staff
- Ensure policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently upheld
- Act as a point of escalation for resident and operational matters as needed
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community environment
- Assist with resident relations, issue resolution, and service recovery
- Support the planning and execution of resident engagement initiatives and events
- Support leasing strategy execution, tours, and leasing initiatives
- Assist with application processing, lease administration, and move-in/move-out cycles
- Collaborate with marketing and leasing teams to drive occupancy results
- Assist with reporting, budgeting support, and expense controls
- Ensure accurate data entry in property management systems
- Support compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Experience
- Bachelor degree in business preferred; or 2 years experience in the student/multi-family housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient leadership skills and ability to work independently required. Skills in residence life, facility management, budgeting, supervision, business administration, public relations, or a combination of business and student development skills.
- Experience in using Entrata considered an asset.
