About The Role
Are you curious about the future of work and how companies build modern, skills based talent systems? Excited by the idea of shaping tools that support career development, performance management, and workforce planning? Join IAMGOLD as an HR Intern. Talent Development where you'll play a key role in developing two foundational talent resources: a global skills taxonomy and a goals library.
In this role, you'll collaborate with HR Business Partners, functional subject matter experts, and HRIS partners to translate business needs into clear, practical content libraries. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in HR strategy, talent management, organizational development, or data driven HR practices.
The Internship is from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

What You'll Do
- Global Skills Taxonomy Support (Primary Focus)
- Support the design of a global skills taxonomy across corporate functions and mine site operations.
- Build and maintain a structured skills catalogue in Excel/SharePoint or HRIS templates.
- Coordinate working sessions, summarize feedback, and update drafts.
- Perform quality assurance to ensure consistency in naming, definitions, and level progression.
- Goals Library Development
- Draft clear, measurable goal statements and success indicators aligned with IAMGOLD's values and strategic priorities.
- Build a goals library usable across employee groups and performance cycles.
- Create standardized fields for each goal (title, description, KPIs, timeframe, weighting, job family applicability).
- Support governance documentation, version control, and update protocols.
- Content Organization & Project Coordination
- Develop user-friendly guides for HR and managers on how to use the skills taxonomy and goals library.
- Support change enablement materials: FAQs, quick reference cards, sample skills/goals by job family.
- Track action items, manage timelines, and maintain version control of working documents.
- Prepare simple stakeholder summaries highlighting changes, decisions needed, and upcoming steps.
Key Skills & Knowledge
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a program in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Relations, Data/Information Management, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to draft clear, structured content.
- High attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets or content libraries.
- Strong Excel skills (sorting/filtering, data validation; pivot tables are an asset).
- Ability to turn ambiguous input into organized, practical outputs.
- Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders and incorporating feedback.

Salary Range: $ $29.34
