Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through osteopathic principles and practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient wellness, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Osteopath will focus on holistic treatment approaches while addressing various health concerns, including acute care and pain management.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized treatment plans based on osteopathic principles.
  • Provide hands-on treatment using osteopathic manipulative techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage acute care situations, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using medical terminology in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for efficient data collection and patient management.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Engage in research activities to stay current with advancements in osteopathy and contribute to the field.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding home care practices, lifestyle modifications, and preventive health measures.
  • Work effectively with pediatric patients, adapting treatment approaches as needed.

Experience

  • Previous hospital experience is preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
  • Familiarity with pain management techniques is essential.
  • Experience in pediatrics is a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in medical office operations, including data collection and patient care processes.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology is necessary for effective communication within the healthcare team. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient health outcomes while working in a supportive environment focused on holistic healing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100.00-$200.00 per hour
