Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Snow operations roles to join our team during the winter season. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible roadways and pathways during snow and ice conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience operating snow removal equipment and possess a strong work ethic to ensure timely and efficient snow clearing operations. Candidates with knowledge of landscape maintenance, mechanical skills, and construction tools are encouraged to apply, as these skills can enhance performance in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow blowers and related equipment to clear snow and ice from walkways, stairs, and all other pedestrian traffic areas.
  • Perform routine inspections of plow equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice buildup
  • Conduct minor maintenance and mechanical checks on machinery and tools
  • Assist with general landscape maintenance and hardscape tasks such as gardening, hardscape installations, or horticulture work during off-peak seasons when snow removal is not required
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other construction or maintenance equipment as necessary for site preparation or repair tasks
  • Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Experience

  • Basic Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or general construction is a plus
  • Basic knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools used in outdoor maintenance or construction projects
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and stand for extended periods during snow removal operations
  • Willing to train and invest in our team members to grow and work in our snow operations and landscape design and build operations and maintenance crew.
