Kerr Sprinkler Systems is launching the first-ever KERR Academy this winter — a focused training program built to teach new apprentices the irrigation trade the right way. We're a residential and commercial home-service sprinkler company, and we're taking on a small group of people who want a real career in the trades, not just a job.

What Makes This Different

Training takes place indoors at our KERR Academy facility, not out in clients' yards.

You'll get free instruction, hands-on practice, and one-on-one guidance so you can build skill quickly and confidently.

The goal is simple:

Prepare you to step into a Service or Installation Technician role much faster than a typical apprenticeship.

What You'll Learn

  • How sprinkler systems work: heads, valves, pipe, wiring, controllers
  • How to repair, install, and diagnose systems
  • How to work properly on a crew
  • How to handle real jobsite tasks the right way
  • Core skills that determine whether you move into service or install

All training happens in a controlled environment so you can learn safely and effectively.

We're taking only a small number of apprentices so we can train the right people properly.

The first KERR Academy cohort starts in January, graduates at the end of March, and begins full-time field work in April — with a higher starting wage than most apprenticeships.

Spend the winter learning a skilled trade, and start the season with a guaranteed full-time job.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
