Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
  • Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Communicate with carriers, drivers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
  • Monitor supply chain operations, analyze freight data, and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related logistics information for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Support third-party logistics (3PL) providers by coordinating freight movements efficiently.
  • Assist with shipping & receiving tasks to ensure proper handling of goods and compliance with company policies.
  • Utilize analysis skills to optimize routing, reduce costs, and improve overall transportation efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high typing accuracy; familiarity with multi-line phone systems.
  • Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret logistics data and identify process improvements.
  • Experience working within a 3PL environment is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an engaging opportunity for a motivated individual eager to contribute to a dynamic logistics team through effective coordination and communication skills.
