High School Mathematics & Chemistry Teacher (MCV4U & SCH4U)

Private High School – Part-Time (Fixed Schedule)

We are seeking a qualified and motivated High School Teacher to teach MCV4U (Calculus & Vectors) and SCH4U (Grade 12 Chemistry) at our private high school.

This is a part-time position with a fixed, consistent schedule through the end of the academic year.

Position Details

  • Courses:
  • MCV4U – Calculus and Vectors
  • SCH4U – Grade 12 Chemistry
  • Schedule:
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (3 hours per day)
  • Fixed timetable
  • Contract Duration:
  • From start date until June
  • Location:
  • In-person (private high school)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum
  • Prepare students for assessments, exams, and post-secondary pathways
  • Develop and grade assignments, tests, and exams
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with administration as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Chemistry, Education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching MCV4U and/or SCH4U preferred
  • OCT certification is an asset but not required
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Availability to commit to the fixed 1:00–4:00 PM schedule through June
