Position summary
The Assembly Technician at Puzzle Medical Devices assembles and tests medical devices to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role involves precise assembly work, following detailed procedures, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and improve processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with hands-on assembly experience and a commitment to high standards in a regulated environment.
Roles and responsibilities
Assemble and Test Devices:
- Precisely assemble components and perform tests to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Inspect products for defects and maintain accurate documentation.
Troubleshoot and Improve Processes:
- Identify and resolve assembly issues, working with engineering and quality teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for better efficiency and quality.
Ensure Quality and Safety:
- Follow all quality assurance protocols and safety procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Collaborate with Teams:
- Work closely with technicians, engineers, and quality control to support production flow and suggest process improvements.
Requirements
- Technical program required; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
3 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in a regulated industry like medical devices, electronics, or aerospace.
- Proficiency with hand tools and assembly equipment used in manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Experience with testing and inspection tools for quality control.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting issues.
