Inclusion Support Worker (Part-Time, Permanent)
We are seeking a part-time, permanent Inclusion Support Worker to provide person-centered support to an adult with an intellectual disability at home, in the community, and at work.
This role offers 15–20 hours per week, primarily Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, creative, engaging, and adaptable, with a genuine desire to make a difference. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with others, is committed to inclusion, and brings positive energy and initiative to their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support in home, community, and workplace settings
- Foster independence, belonging, and meaningful relationships
- Collaborate closely with the individual, their family, and other supports to achieve identified goals
- Model and promote inclusive values and respectful interactions in all environments
- Assist with job development and employment support, helping identify and sustain meaningful work opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
- A strong belief in inclusion, community participation, and person-directed support
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on established goals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving ability in diverse settings
- Sound judgment, reliability, and professionalism
- Valid Class 5 driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (required)
- Post-secondary education and/or experience supporting people with disabilities are assets, but not required
