As a Credit Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our Credit, Operations and Sales teams by assisting in the evaluation, analysis, and preparation of credit packages. This position is designed as a foundational step toward a Credit Analyst I role and is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and advance within a fast-paced and high-performing team.

What You'll Do

• Conduct due diligence by reviewing and evaluating personal and commercial credit reports, PPSA registrations, title assessments, and vendor approvals used in underwriting packages.
• Accurately input and categorize financial statement data to generate key financial ratios for analysis.
• Assist in analyzing credit exposure, loan-to-value ratios, and collateral positions to support recommendations.
• Compile and summarize client financial information to support credit decisions and deal structuring.
• Research collateral values using secondary market data.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as approval letters, quotes, term sheets, and online records.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Credit Analysts, and Operations to ensure seamless deal flow and an excellent client experience.
• Complete special projects and reporting as assigned by the Team Lead or Credit Leadership Team.

What You Bring

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• A strong grasp of financial analysis and accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow in commercial credit and equipment finance.
• Commitment to accountability and collaboration within a high-performing team environment.
