Overview

We are recruiting a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join a dental practice in Hamilton. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in managing electronic medical records.

Two (2) to three (3) days a week. Potential to grow into more days. No evenings or weekends.

Pay: $20 - $25

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and concerns efficiently
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical records
  • Process patient insurance claims and verify coverage details
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure optimal patient care and office workflow
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office is preferred
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in front desk operations
  • Filing claims to insurances and collecting copay on the day off
  • Follow up with insurances and patients for predetermination and booking treatments
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
